Apprenticeship Seminar – lunch and learn, CGT Catapult Manufacturing Centre – Friday 28 June 2019
The provision of appropriate skills is highly important for our sector’s growth and we believe apprenticeships will play an important part in providing the future necessary skills needed to embed manufacturing of new therapies in the UK.
We appreciate that there are many inaccurate myths around apprenticeships – ‘only for school leavers, not funded unless we pay the levy, the Company is not big enough to cope with the admin’, all of which are not factually accurate.
We are therefore arranging a lunch and learn with Kate Barclay, who is an external representative for the apprenticeship programme, where you will be able to learn about apprenticeship programmes, and how these can be made available across all levels of an organisation including, upskilling your existing staff as well as build your workforce.
Any company can use the Apprenticeship Levy even if they do not pay into it; and the ATAC team will be also on hand to support companies if needed throughout the entire life cycle of an apprenticeship programme, from identifying the correct programme right through to recruitment / enrolment of appropriate candidates and will be able to offer additional support throughout the apprenticeship scheme alongside the training provider.
