I decided to do a Degree apprenticeship because at first I was unsure whether the university route was for me. Deciding my future career from the blurb of a University prospectus was unnerving especially with rising university fees. However, having worked in pharmacy in the years after completing my A-levels, I gained a lot of invaluable work experience and this aspect of apprenticeships really appealed to me. Since starting I have been able to use my strengths gained from my previous work experience, as well as develop my academic skills set.  It has given me a refreshed outlook on my future prospects and I look forward to where my apprenticeship will take me.
