The Advanced Therapies Apprenticeship Community (ATAC) is hosting a celebratory roadshow as part of National Apprenticeship Week 2023.

The ATAC Roadshow takes place in three locations across the UK, and brings together current and new employers, and the apprentices themselves. Kicking off in Darlington today (7th Feb) , the roadshow makes its way to Birmingham tomorrow (8th Feb), and finally arrives at Sycamore House in Stevenage on Friday, 9th February. Each day will comprise a special programme of activities, including:

  • Cell & Gene Therapy Catapult Skills Strategy update
  • Apprenticeship standards for both new talent and upskilling the existing workforce
  • Apprentice panel
  • Employer and apprentice awards ceremony
  • Networking lunch
  • Facility/Skills and Training Laboratories/Virtual Reality Tours

The roadshow complements the award-winning work already delivered nationally through the Advanced Therapies Apprenticeship Community (ATAC) and the Advanced Therapies Skills and Training Network (ATSTN), as well as showcasing the new Skills and Training Laboratories in Sycamore House, which recently opened for its first courses.

The CGT Catapult 2021 Skills Demand Survey highlighted the need for sector skills development, with around 10% of this talent expected to come through apprenticeships.

Matthew Durdy, Chief Executive of CGT Catapult, said:

“The National Apprenticeship Week roadshow is an important event in the skills calendar and a welcome addition to the programme of world class skills and training that is being developed at Sycamore House. It represents CGT Catapult’s commitment to driving the UK’s talent pipeline for the benefit of apprentices, employees, employers and ultimately patients.”
