As an integral member of the team, the Technician Apprentice will assist in the research and development of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) by undertaking scientific experiments and laboratory investigations. The role will operate within a highly regulated laboratory environment to control the quality and safety of the ATMPs being developed. The Apprentice will be trained in aseptic procedures, specialised technical protocols and the use of advanced scientific equipment. The role will also involve training in laboratory housekeeping, health and safety, and consumables stock control.

The Apprentice will become familiar with the Company’s operational plans and assist in this delivery as part of the wider CGT Catapult team, and is expected to develop their own awareness of the research context to help contribute to the proposal of new scientific ideas and processes. The Apprentice will spend 20% of their time undertaking a study program with the Forth Valley College towards achieving Modern Apprenticeship in Life Sciences with the mode of study taking place via college attendance one day per week and four days being work based.
