The modern apprentice will be part of the Supply Chain team, learning and understanding the processes within that function and contributing to developing Symbiosis’ mutually beneficial relationships by:
Supporting the shipping of in process samples and finished products to test laboratories and clinics worldwide.
Supporting the creation of shipping documentation including customs, client, and regulatory documents, tracking shipment requests
Receipting deliveries, purchase orders, and labels; pulling inventory from stock; performing inventory control, tracking shipment requests, and ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
Supporting the manufacturing schedule through issuing materials and components to pick lists in a timely manner
Timeously actioning of goods receipting processes of deliveries into warehouse, including checking all documentation
What will I learn?
Operational Quality Assurance
Adherence to all quality systems and supporting processes
Shipping and warehouse functions within Supply Chain.
Continuous improvement projects to enhance processes as part of the wider Supply Chain Strategy
Completion of SVQ modules
Working to and complying with Symbiosis policies and procedures (SOP’s)
GMP competency-based training and training file are maintained in an inspection ready state
Take steps to avoid quality control issues.
Undertake general house-keeping and maintenance of the facility in an “audit-ready” state at all times
Managing Relationships
Attend, participate and contribute to regular staff meetings, as necessary
Provide regular updates to internal supervisor to ensure that my training is on track and support is requested as required.
Act as an ambassador for the company
What qualification or qualities are required?
Essential Qualification
Educated to a minimum of 5 National 5’s including Mathematics, English and Science
Desirable Skills
Educated to Higher level in Mathematics and Science
Essential Skills
Effective communication skills
Flexible and adaptive team player
Computer skills
