The Level 7 Senior Leaders Master’s Degree Apprenticeship will begin in summer 2019, allowing existing managers within the advanced therapies industry to receive an MBA qualification.
21 December 2018
This is the first advanced therapy apprenticeship to be aimed at employees in managerial, professional or technical roles who already hold an Honours degree (or equivalent). The programme will be delivered by the Open University.
The UK has positioned itself among the early leaders in cell and gene therapies, and as the sector grows and therapies move towards commercialisation, there is an increasing need for a range of technical, operational and clinical roles to support the scale-up of manufacturing of ATMPs and their adoption in the healthcare system. This apprenticeship will provide employers within the advanced therapies industry with a useful tool to develop strategic leaders of the future.
Apprentices that are successful in the programme may be also eligible for membership or fellowship with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) or the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM), depending on their management experience.

Open University would like to run an information session to potential candidates and organisations early next year so please get in touch if you would like to hear more.
